I put on my thermals, wool pants, wool sweater, down coat, boots, balaclava, alpaca cap, grabbed my camera and headed out the door into the blistery cold day to take a walk by the sea. Even though the clouds in the sky were threatening snow and the wind was fierce, I walked along the shore, snapped pictures, and saw more of my neighborhood. I followed the shoreline until I came to the tip of town that looks out to the open sea, England, America. I walked down the quiet streets of this sleepy farming town and sniffed in the strong smell of the sea mixing in with the smell of farm animals (namely manure) that the wind carried so generously to my nose. I appreciated the fact that Randaberg is a peninsula as I looked to my right and then to my left and saw water. The sea is all around me.

I'm glad you took that walk. But, I feel cold just thinking about it.
